When FreshSense created the Treehouse Kids brand, it wasn’t to cross-sell toys, movies or videogames. It wasn’t a gimmick to move smaller fruit. It was to see more kids eating fruit by giving them their own brand – the brand that features all the fruits they already love.

To do that, we went right to the target consumer: kids themselves (with valuable input from moms, too). We found that while many kids are simply “finicky,” it’s often because their palates aren’t fully developed. We learned that kids have strong opinions about the fruits they like (and don’t like). We discovered which fruits they prefer, and why. And we put it all together with Treehouse Kids – the new brand that promotes the fun, flavor and excitement kids already appreciate about their favorite fruits.

As you’ll see, Treehouse Kids represents healthy, active kids who have fun every day and eat well every day – a concept kids and moms can easily connect with. Which not only gives you a powerful new way to reach moms and kids, but a proven way to expand the category.

These five words are more than just a slogan, they’re what makes the Treehouse Kids brand truly distinctive in the children’s fruit market. Every fruit in the Treehouse Kids program has been selected by “professional kid researchers” – actual children who have told FreshSense which fruit varieties are their favorites, and who participate in our ongoing research into the fruits kids find most appealing…and why.

Children have their own standards for fruit flavor and a unique perspective on the fruit eating experience, which adult researchers simply can’t match. FreshSense listened to these perspectives in developing the Treehouse Kids brand, resulting in a rare “win-win-win” proposition: kids eat more fruit, moms are pleased with the health benefits, and retailers enjoy higher sales and profits.
